sorry footfan1, and 813, but if this is true O'Liar must go, not to mentioned he just perjured himself on the stand yesterday.

It's going to be hard, nearly impossible to discredit Brian Watters who was named team captain by the coaches last year, who was a four year scholarship player, a recent graduate, and a good student.

Sorry no longer is it just 'disgruntled walk-ons' that are claiming he withheld water and trainers from the workout! :o :o :o

UCF won't have a nickel for anything extra-curicular in the athletic department for the next 40 years!

Doesn't insurance cover this?

It depends....because they were told they could go above the state mandated $200k.  I am sure insurance will cover a portion but if there was gross negligence on UCF part then insurance could opt out too at a certain amount.  It will be interesting to watch, at a minimum if they are found to have gross negligence and the punitive damages are out the roof the cost for UCF liability insurance in the future would go out the roof.  It would cost them multiple times more than what they pay today and thus hurt their future budgets.

Insurance generally does not cover punitive damages though.

Uhhh?  He has lots of credibility?  Being sarcastic right?  He's a consistent liar his entire career, dating back to his days at Syracuse under McPherson when he was involved in some questionable recruiting tactics.

This is the first time he's perjured himself though.  This many players and trainers can't be wrong.  It's a pity that they won't let the jury know about his history of lying.

Did George already testify?

I'm a little confused. Did the prosecution call him as a witness?

Yes O'Leary testified. It is the plaintiff not the prosecution as it is not a criminal case.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
