Apparently the Big East was trying to get BYU to join as a football only member and BYU said no...

Also I heard that there are rumors about ECU and UCF being pushed and a possibility of the Big East going to 12 teams... has anyone else heard any of this...  ???

Here is I think what people are talking about... last week or something all of the Big East football coaches got together and answered some questions for CBS Sports Line. A lot of them want a 12 team football conference... also the Big East said that it would not hurt Basketball and that the Basketball side of the conference could go up to 50 and still not be unmanageable... I guess they believe that because of the B East tourney and the NCAA tourney which will keep it in order.

Well I meant that maybe they would be announcing that the BEast has decided that Nova was out as a possible member... last I read on the topic last week the Big East was at an impasse with Nova over their stadium issue. The best stadium Nova can get is a 18,000 seat soccer stadium that might be able to get expanded to 23,000... reportedly the Big East wants Nova to get a 35K stadium built.
