Pitt, Uconn, Georgetown, Cuse, Louisville, Notre Dame, Villanova are locks with most llikely St Johns, Cincy and West Virginia getting in.  So I could see 9 or 10.

Our conferences? Who's that.

The Big 10 and SEC have 3 teams who's RPI is one of the top 25 in the country. The ACC has and Big 12 have 2. The Pac 10 has 1. Let me repeat that. The mighty Pac 10 has 1 flippin' team who's RPI is one of the top 25 in the country.

The Big East has how many? ...

8

The BE also has 12 in the top 100 of RPIs.

The field for the NCAA Tourney is 68 teams this year. 9 teams from the Big East getting in is probable, 10 if UC wins out and does well in the Big East Tournament. UC would be a lock now had their OOC schedule had not been the weakest in the nation.

Could be as many as 11.  My guess would be 9

I say ten.

This year, the at-large teams are few and far between. Some of them have lost in the past week, and while you do have your auto-bids coming from certain conference champs, those behind them will not get a seat at the table, since they are weaker than in years past. Add to that the fact that the Pac 10 sucks this year, and you're allowing extra slots for an extra BE team or two to get in, provided they do well in this last week and in the tournament.

Locks: Pitt, Villanova, Notre Dame, Syracuse, UConn, Georgetown, Louisville

Probably in: St. John's, West Virginia

Bubble: Cincinnati

I think UC does okay in the stretch and gets just enough to get a bid in as a lower seed, over a possible at-large team without as many good wins.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
