where is ucf going to play BB because I still have yet to hear about the BE deciding to go to 18 in basketball? or is it that since the BE decided to increase to 10 in football it automatically decided to go to 18 in BB? Just wondering where that quote is.  ::)

That's because the "reports" are coming from the UCF fan base, not from anyone that would actually be involved in such a decision, if the conversation was actually happening.  The UCFers consistently start these kinds of things about USF, its their obsession.

I know, but I bet mcmurphy could come up with a "report", he could probably get some "un-named" sources....ie the ucf message board  ;D

also i'm not sure that drawing a comparison between nova and uconn is fair. it doesn't seem at all feasible for nova to erect the stadium/practice/training facilities that UCONN has, nor produce an AQ fanbase to match.

That is true, it is not that fair of a comparison, but it is the best one to go on. Both UConn and Villanova have played football for a while, so their move from 1 AA to the Big East is going to be similar to what Villanova would have to go through, should Villanova accept the invitation.

Villanova will not have to erect a new/upgraded stadium. In all likelihood they'll play where the Philadelphia Union play for the time being. UConn will have more of a fan base, but that doesn't mean that Villanova won't.

Contrary to popular belief, Villanova does have money, a good deal of it in fact. Moving up in football will increase donations.

Someone posted on the last page about the Big East not waiting for Villanova. When the league mentioned that they wanted to expand to 10 football teams they targeted a December 2010 deadline to know who the candidates were. Well, it's January 2011 and we have 9 football playing members. Villanova was given an extension into April, so the league is definitely waiting on Villanova.

Here is UCF fan's thought process when he thinks about joining the Big East:

You are an obsession, I cannot sleep

I am a possession unopened at your feet

There is no balance, no equality

Be still I will not accept defeat

I will have you, yes I will have you

I will find a way and I will have you

Like a butterfly, a wild butterfly

I will collect you and capture you

You are an obsession, you're my obsession

Who do you want me to be to make you sleep with me

I feed you, I drink you by day and by night

I need you, I need you by sun or candlelight

You protest, you want to leave

You say there's no alternative

Your face appears again, I see the beauty there

But I see danger, stranger beware

A circumstance in your naked dreams

Your affection is not what it seems

You are an obsession, you're my obsession

Who do you want me to be to make you sleep with me

My fantasy has turned to madness

All my goodness has turned to badness

My need to possess you has consumed my soul

My life is trembling, I have no control

I will have you, yes I will have you

I will find a way and I will have you

Like a butterfly, a wild butterfly

I will collect you and capture you

rational, truthful discussion please.

How does rational and truthful discussion occur on unsubstantiated rumors about a conversation that isn't actually happening?

Now, THAT's funny!

There are no legitimate reports. As a UCF fan, we just need to win. That solves EVERYTHING. Everything else is whining. Be welll
