Wannstedt out as Pitt coach

Pitt football coach Dave Wannstedt has been fired, defensive line coach Greg Gattuso told the Post-Gazette today. Gattuso said the assistant coaches were informed this afternoon.

I thought that was a crazy idea - don't think too many coaches would do that.  Wonder what type of "non-coaching capacity" he'll be doing ... prob. recruiting coordinator.
