Does anyone know if it needs to be unanimous among the Big East presidents for a new member? I can't imagine Judy casting a yes vote for UCiF.

I don't think he is reporting anything new here. We all knew the pecking order was TCU, Villanova, UCF.

Emotions aside, I think that the Presidents and ADs will be pragmatic when they decide who to invite.  That said, I know that there were issues with UCF dropping BIG EAST games on short notice in recent history (WVU and/or Pitt, I believe).

I'd have gone Houston or SMU first, but oh well.

UCF is in a much better situation than Nova.

Seeing that 'Nova has been a league member since year 2 of the league I'd say otherwise.

I think UCF joining the Big East could be a blessing in disguise.  At first, I would be against it because I feel it would hurt USF in recruiting.  I hope I am wrong.

I always felt the reason we had the upper hand was because we were in a BCS and they were not (and we have a better coach).   Even though they are not in a BCS, they did attract a pretty decent recruiting giving the environment they created over there (nightlife around campus, the UCF Plaza, and the On Campus Stadium).  I figure if they do get invited and start to beat us out in football, it would open up the eyes of the administration and community to be more open to the idea of creating a more lively atmosphere close to campus (on campus stadium, nightlife, restaurants open pass business hours, etc).
