I think they want someone who will win a conference and a national title, not a coach who hasn't even been close to that.

There's nothing saying "Skippy" won't skip down there if offered either.  Better recruits, better funded, etc, etc.  He could win a national championship within 1 or 2 years!

You think Skip would do that if he was offered the job? Wasnt there rumors running around saying he wasnt happy here?

Anybody that goes down to Miami is going to have alot of work to do. Would it even be worth it for Skip to accept an offer? Besides, Miami will probably be looking for a BIG name guy to be their coach.

Definitely have a good team..  However, being a smaller private school they already said that money is an issue.  They owe a buyout to Shannon, who just got an extension last year.  Plus they will need to up it a bit to get a new coach.  And Skip would have a buyout at USF they would have to handle, as well.  I don't think skip is going anywhere.  He doesn't want to be a Kiffin.

They have 25 +/- if the top 150 recruits, we have 3.  How would that be a tougher job?

Lol I just posted this in another thread!

Miami wont have to worry about $$$, look at their football alumni and how many have big $$$ in the pros.

I personally think neither leavitt or gruden will end up coaching at Miami...maybe Schiano or Strong (Strong less likely)

The craziest name I heard beside leavitt is Mike Leach...I doubt he gets it too

You can't beat those two choices.    :)

I'd have to lock myself in a room for a while to make the decision between those two.
