We need to DOMINATE them.

E.T. is correct, they are also young and inexperienced.

With several scholarship players lost to injury before the season even started, the list has grown recently to include wide receivers Aaron Weaver and Steve Rene. Marrone said last week that the team was down to 67 healthy scholarship players, including specialists.

SU has used 15 true freshmen this season. Only two teams (Air Force with 17 and Florida with 16) have used more among the 120 that play Division I-A football. A third of the way into the season three more likely first-year candidates have yet to play, although one of them is not a true freshman. They are quarterback John Kinder, offensive tackle Sean Hickey and defensive tackle Deon Goggins (a junior-college transfer).

Yeah, Im really excited about big east play to start. Must be because of our crappy schedule so far, but Im also excited about the rest of our conference mates games. With some luck, I think we can win this. If we can somehow come back with a win from morgantown...

We "should" handle Cuse, but before we get too far ahead of ourselves, have a thought for who we've played so far. Our combined opponents are a mighty 12-23 (8-22 excluding UF, 6-20 excluding BCS). Neither of us have beaten a decent team, and we both lost to the lone BCS team we've played. SOS-wise, it's a toss-up. Of course, none of the other BE teams look much better, so let's just say I'm "cautiously optimistic" Go Bulls!!

USF

W:SB (FCS) 1-3

L:UF (SEC) 4-1

W:WKU (SBC) 0-4

W:FAU (SBC) 1-3

Cuse

W:Akron (MAC) 0-5

L:Washington  (PAC) 2-2

W:Maine (FCS) 2-3

W:Colgate (FCS) 2-2

Rivals must think Cuse's SOS is better than ours, as they have them listed ahead of us in the standings, even though we're both 3-1 (as is WVU, listed 3rd by Rivals)

ESPN, however, has gone with the more traditonal approach - alphabetical. Nice to see us at the top of the standings.

Here's to staying there the rest of the season. Go Bulls!!

:cheers

No it isn't. They've played 2 1 AA's, a 1 A non BCS program who may be worse than both WKU and FAU. UF is tougher than Washington.

Should be one more step up the competition ladder. I personally think we will have to wait for WVU to get a true feeling of where we are. One thing is for sure, this is the last gimme before...
