Thanks Chi for the kind words. I'm on may way to a speedy recovery.

Just to put thinks in perspective, at this same time last year we only had 3 commits (Julmiste, Gachette and Searcy).

Then we had an early January weekend visit by 25 recuits and an additional 8 or 9 of them committed within one week, with many others leaning our way:

THE LATEST: Twenty-five recruits visited last weekend. And at least eight committed, giving the Bulls 11 total, including Searcy, who has enrolled. ... Williams said don't be surprised if two of his more celebrated Armwood teammates, defensive end Jarriett Buie and coveted offensive lineman Jake Griffin, commit. "Buie's right there," Williams said. "Jake, they wowed him. He was really impressed." ... Merritt Island defensive back Danny Verpaele, the younger brother of former USF safety Kevin Verpaele, is leaning toward USF over East Carolina. Kevin said Danny is the better athlete, hands down. ... Clebert, one of four commitments from Edison, picked the Bulls over Nebraska, and Mompremier has stellar credentials. ... USF has an offer to Dunedin safety Justin Glenn (6-3, 185), a Times All-Pinellas pick. He made 72 tackles and four interceptions his final season. ... Others the Bulls are interested in include Hillsborough running back Ricky Ponton, Pasco receiver Johnny Peyton, Countryside receiver Jermaine Filer, Largo defensive back/athlete Fred Marshall and Tampa Bay Tech linebacker Maurice Crum (who visited last weekend and has visits scheduled to Notre Dame and Tennessee.) ... Former Dixie Hollins star running back Andre Hall, a junior college standout, visited in December and will take his remaining visits before deciding. ... Quarterback is a priority, and Deerfield Beach blue-chipper Brent Schaeffer, who visited last weekend, is among several USF is pursuing. He still has visits scheduled for Auburn and North Carolina State and told rivals.com Tennessee is his favorite.

Or go to the site and then just click on Avg Star ranking up top.  You'll see USF listed at 23rd tied w/ Oregon and Penn State.  Bottom line -- the early guys are quality.  There isn't anybody that is going to moan about Taurus, Grothe, Anderson or DeArmas (or Benzer).

No I didn't. in fact my wife surprised me with the announcement by bringing a copy of the official release to my hospital bed in intensive care and it really made my stay bearable.

In fact when I was trying to get released, I asked my Doctor to sign it (as if it was my hospital release) so, I could get out of there. He got a chuckle out of it and let me out a day early.  ;D
