Also, as much as I'd like to get excited about the possibility of this new player, this situation is eerily reminiscent of Mike Ford.  Big time high school recruit transfers to USF after not really hacking it at a big time program decides to come back home and play for the Bulls. 

It's probably unfair to Darrell Scott to compare him to the likes of Mike "Moped" Ford, but I really hope he comes in, puts forth an effort, and earns his keep!  Oh, and I hope it wouldn't be asking too much to get a drivers license!

eehhh, I wouldn't really compare the two backs. Mike Ford was a 4 star back and rated around 20th in his specific position. Darrell Scott was a 5 star athlete and rated as the 1st or 2nd overall running back prospect, not to mention being an ESPNU top 10 player (I think he was #9). Also, from some of the videos I've seen of D. Scott, he looks like a much more intelligent guy compared to Ford.

Guys, it's a Wikipedia post. You can go in and change it to show that he now plays for the Lakers. He certainly isn't currently enrolled at USF. He's said he wants to play for USF. He may have made a campus visit. That's the extent of it, beyond a few cryptic Facebook status updates. USF isn't going to confirm anything until August 4, and he isn't responding to messages seeking updates on where things stand.
