1. The most powerful man in the building garbage is false... I don't know where that came from and neither does Joel. Joel had a one-on-one with Leavitt but that phrase wasn't spoken.

****, Chris, if that is true, that's HUGE. Is Joel going on record to the investigator with this stuff?

It's starting to sound like Erskin went to Brett about this, then Brett started pursuing a story. I think the Millers were probably dragged in after the fact.

Joel talked to Colby about what happened, Colby told Brett, Brett talks to Joel, his dad, his great aunt's second cousin's high school gym teacher, and so on.

I think very clearly, something happened. The question is, was it done with malicious intent, or was it part of coaching? If it was malicious, CJL should be fired. if it was coaching, and inappropriate, CJL should be exonerated publicly, and confidentially required to seek anger management or something.

i have already stated that this is what happened

Erskin has been at this for awhile. He tells Brett everything. Joel was dragged in and never had any intentions of speaking with anyone about anything.

Chris - How much information can you give us?  I know you only know what Joel told you, but...

1. Did the "I am the most powerful man" comment really happen?

2. Does Joel plan on playing next year?

3. Was he just venting to someone and maybe exagerated a little unintentionally?

Maybe you can't answer these questions, but I know a lot of people would love to know.  Regardless of the outcome, if the whole unvarnished truth is out there, I think we can move on.

2. Absolutely Joel is playing at USF next season. The latest is that he might want to change position to some type of slot receiver.

3. I can tell you that Joel never sought out advice from Colby. You can imagine how something like this would play out in a locker room.

Thank you for the information you can share, and I hope that Joel realizes that you are a good friend for defending him when you can.

I certainly do not blame him in the least for this mess.

Hey Chris,

Thanks for all your responses!  I think I understand what is going on now.  I do have one question.

What are your opinions of Leavitt not as a college football coach, but as a person and a human being?

"i was saying he was dragged into this mess by moles tlaking to McMurphy. Had McMurphy not existed this would never have been a story."

On the contrary....if Leavitt didn't grab Miller by the throat and slap him twice in the head, then there would have never been a story.

Ironically Erskins position.

Miller plays well on Kick Coverage.
