which we all hope for and a speedy recovery, and is say.......50% next week, could play with brace but couldnt run..........what do we do? I say a healthy inexperienced Daniels...........for all you haters i really hope Grothe will be back for FSU obviously, just throwin it out there for discussion...........also who do we start to look at as 3rd string if Grothe is out for extended period?? Virgin? Marc?

Virgin or Marc would probably both be candidates.  Neither seems to have broken into the two deep at their current position.  Not sure they'd want to burn the RS, though.  Maybe someone else like a Nate Allen that used to be a qb in high school.  Our roster is littered with them.

also that diagnosis is without an MRI. I hope it is just a sprain and he makes it back for the bulk of the BE schedule, but i'm not holding my breathe. Start BJ if Matt is ever @ anything less than 90%.

Landi's non-throwing shoulder.  He could have played today, but would not have been allowed to throw any passes.

I thought Virgin was impressing at least a bit with his QB work early in camp.  I'd guess he becomes the #3 behind Landi (if Landi is healthy).  Theo Wilson would seem to be the best fit as emergency QB, since he's playing WR right now.

I've gotta say, as excited as I have been about the FSU game, I could care less right now (give me a day or two). I wouldn't play MG if I were Leavitt. If it is a minor sprain, give him a week off to get healthy and let BJ go. In the grand scheme of things, a win next week would be huge for our program, would help us in recruiting, yada, yada yada. However, I don't think a loss sets us back at all. I would rather see everyone healthy for a Big East game than worrying about getting them out there for FSU.

...BJ looked good running tonight, a couple of bad decisions throwing, but he will be fine if we have to play him next week or even an extended period of time. I really hope Grothe is able to come back by the time we play Cincy though. Kid has been the heart and soul of this team for 3+ years, I would hate for him to go out like that.

Everything the Bulls offense does is based off QB run threat.

If he is at all limited, you have to play Daniels.  Grothe as a pocket passer is a terrible idea.
