Glad to see Leavitt give the kid a chance.

We need Alvarado at kickoff IMO (and punting duties).

I'm with you, swap duties with Shwartz.  Alvarado has a leg, but he has no accuracy on FG's.

His FG elicited the loudest yell from me for the game.  So nice to see one go through the uprights.

I think I read that one of schwartz's few KOs went into the endzone unlike alvarado.

Delbert had 2-3 in the endzone vs WKU last week. He really impressed me on KO last week, I was shocked that CJL took him out of that role. May be back, sounds like CJL wasn't convinced Schwartz was ready for game pressure and may have just been using that to get him on the field early.

A low line drive that, if caught, would have resulted in a big return.

yeah.  pulling Delberado from kickoffs seemed odd to me.

the kid has an enormous leg [anyone remember the Big East record breaking 56 yard FG a couple years ago?], but his accuracy is just too inconsistent to rely on for FGs... he should still be our kickoff and punt man, and i hope Leavitt realizes that.

regardless, i think we'll be attempting a lot more 4th down conversions in enemy territory this year.
