In Live Oaks Apts off Amberly Drive in Tampa Palms.  Getting ready to leave for class at USF when I received a phone call from my Mom and roomates girlfriend.  Turned the TV and even though classes were cancelled didnt even think about going to class. 

As a proud a native New Yorker my prayers go out to all the victims in Penn., DC and NY.  Will never forget.

In my apt.  My roommate told me about the 1st one hitting and then we watched together as the 2nd one hit live.

Was just getting to work about to start shift @ Memorial Hospital. I walked into the ER and it was unusually quiet and knew that something wasn't right. Most of the ER was in the waiting room watching it live on TV.

in Boston, classes all morning and  first heard about it from a frind friend on the T sometime around 11am...dismissed it as being similar to the bombing in the early 90s but went to my room turned on the TV and called my dad to see what was going on. Saw the smoke on the TV and just remember asking several times 'Dad where are they?'

In Orlando at a Job Site, spent the day listening to the news reports on the radio.

Sr. year of high school. I remember sitting in the parking lot listening on the radio and hearing military jets and helicopters flying over towards ground zero.  I will never forget the way I felt. I now work at 1 Liberty Plaza which has a great view of ground zero. Every day I think of that morning and get chills.

Spending my second morning in Las Vegas...waking up to my friends wife calling our room and telling us to turn on the TV and that we are under attack.  With the time change we woke up with most of the major events already occuring.  It trully felt like we were under attack and nobody knew what the hell to do.  We spent the next 5 days walking through dead casinos as no one had money to do anything or didn't feel like it.  Everyone was panicing to get rental cars to drvie back to CA, AZ, etc.  We were fortunate that flights were back up and running by the weekend...we were all scared as hell to fly home.  Everyone at the airports and on the planes were looking at each other wondering if they might try to do something. 

It was one of the worst things to watch on TV and to this day I get choke up just thinking about all the people who lost their lives that day.  May we never forgot what happened.  It's too sad that so many have already forgotten how close we became as a country that day and the months after.

Was working in downtown Tampa at the Barnet Tower... One of the smokers that was coming back from their smoke break announced that a Cessna hit a one of the Towers and that they had it on in the lobby; I could not leave because I was working on a project also I was listening to Bubba the Love Sponge over the net and heard the play by play of what was going on.

Not to long after that they came running back up to grab their things because the TPD was shutting down our building.
