Delbert does a solid job punting but as for his kicking, I don't think he has a problem making kicks when we are comfortably ahead its the kick attempts when we are behind or tied (basically kicks that really matter) that he misses. He didn't have any of those opportunities tonight and he will not be in my good graces until he succeeds in those situations

Delbert also did a fine job at kickoffs.  USF has to find someone to do kickoffs Delbert can not do it all. Eventually something (Punts, Kickoffs or Field Goals) will suffer

Alvarado did a good job. I only remember one bad kickoff and that was the do over after the offsides. That really made me think about the fatique factor with doing kickoff, puting, and kicking duties.

I thought he had a great game and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.  Hopefully a little confidence going into the season.

Did anyone think maybe coaches didn't have much confidence in him at end of second quarter?  I think the punter kicked the ball out of the back of the end zone from around the 15.  Half the distance penalty would hav ebmade it around a 25 yard field goal.  I guess it is hard to take points of the baord, but I figured we'd let Delbert kick it just for the confidence.

Delbert might be an NFL type punter.  He was putting a real good toe on the ball on punts.
