"Since becoming the University of South Florida’s coach, Jim Leavitt has strived to build the Bulls into one of college football’s elite programs.

He has succeeded in one area: committing penalties. "

McMurphy has an agenda...period.  It's obvious in the drivel he calls a blog.

Agenda??? Ummmm all FACTS!  Great article, makes you realize someone isnt as good as advertised.

"He has succeeded in one area: committing penalties. "  Ummmmm not a FACT!  Any dimwit can see that McBozo is taking a personal shot a Leavitt with that statement. No other successes? The slobfest for this Tribune clown is nauseating.

At least two of the three coaches mentioned here are good coaches. Maybe not great head coaching material, but very good coaches. One coached a winning Super Bowl, the other built a team from scratch and has led them to four straight bowl games. The third...not so much.

THOSE are facts.

Well haven't bull fans on this board been screaming for YEARS for Leavitt to fix their penalty problem (i.e. almost always in the Top 5 in most penalties per year)???

(This one from last month)

http://thebullspen.com/index.php?topic=55795.0

Then the media writes an article (about the very same subject many of you have been bashing Leavitt on for a very long time) and now the media person is the BAD GUY?

PS. Greg Auman mentioned the above, but of course he twisted being the worst in penalties might be a good thing, which most on this board have strongly disagreed with over the past few years.

NOTE: I'm honored that Greg used my research for another one of his articles. ;D

Thanks for reminding us that CJL has succeeded in, at least, two areas. One being the aforementioned penalties, the other being he has pushed USF past the joke football program that resides in Oveido ...

Leavitt was frustrated about the season ... no big deal.

McMurphy is negative, that is his MO, it is fine but it does wear on you.

However, he is part of the Tampa Tribune, which has always attacked USF.

Coach Winter's Womens Basketball Coach accused of being racist.

Suing to gain access to Ben Moffit's personal education records

Snooping Athletic tutoring facility during time when AD was changing rules about tutoring and athletic personnel teaching athletes

Case leavitation mentions previously

The Tampa Trib has always attacked USF and McMurphy is just part of their MO.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
