I played the NCAA 08 game for like 6 seasons and won the Big East 6 years in a row in dynasty mode. After the sixed season I got an invite to replace Kentucky in the SEC. In the seventh season I played in the SEC in place of Kentucky and they joined the big east. I didn't even know the game was designed to do that.

I had a friend play 2 seasons in NCAA 05 and run the CUSA w/ USM and got an SEC invite, big whoop.  Also, who were your OOC play?  Just because EA programed a game to do it doesn't mean the real SEC will.  Though it would be incredible if we could see USF join the SEC before we die.

Did you know USF won more Conference USA championships than any other school?

Really? When we were only in the conference for, what, 2 years?

:link

USF joined Conference USA when it was founded in 1995 by a merger of the Metro (USF's conference at the time) and Great Midwest Conferences.

You do know USF plays other sports besides football, right?  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)

...

I will see if I can find a link for you.  But I remember reading that during the discussions about why USF was selected to join the Big East.

UPDATE: We are listed on the C-USA site here: http://conferenceusa.cstv.com/auto_pdf/p_hotos/s_chools/c-usa/genrel/auto_pdf/champs-summary

Only Houston (38) and Tulane (26) are shown with more conference championships than USF's 24 C-USA championships.  Now if you remove all championships after USF was selected (early 2003-2004 season), then the rankings AT THE TIME would be USF 24, Houston 23, Tulane 16...

So USF, when it was selected to join the Big East, had more C-USA championships than any other member school.

Thanks for the link. But analysing the data in the PDF for the 95/96 to 04/05 period, it turns out that we we were actually third in tournaments, 4th in regular seasons, and tied for third place in total championships. (I used the data through 2004-05 since we were still competing in CUSA then, at least in Golf and Track)

To me, the really interesting result from this data is that the Big East invited DePaul instead of Memphis. They were basically even in championships, but Memphis plays D1A football and DePaul doesn't. Memphis would have made a lot more sense to me. Anybody know why they took DePaul over Memphis? Religion, maybe? Or maybe they asked Memphis, and they said no thanks?

My first table! It wasn't all that hard, but it's best to do it in an html editor, then use Find/Replace to swap the <>'s for [ ]'s

We were in it for football for 2 years, our other sports were there for at least 4 years or so prior.
