Excerpt:

"Someone please enlighten The Dash: What has Ohio State done thus far to warrant a top-15 ranking ahead of South Florida (20) and East Carolina (21)? Other than the fact that it began the season there? "

Yeah, well, someone explain to me how, in that same article, he is already saying the this year's USC team could be its best ever.  I mean, they already had the best team ever lose to Texas, so you'd think they would learn their lesson at ESPN.

If OSU has done nothing to deserve that ranking, then we don't know about USC yet.  They have that 1 win against OSU and a win against Virginia that was only by 10 more points than UConn.  OSU played without their best offensive player and without a solid QB.  We don't know a lot yet.

because everyone has to start somewhere.

by his accounts then ECU should be a top 3 team.

ohio st is returning 2, maybe 3 guys...that will be top 20 picks this spring.

My in-laws live in northeast Ohio.  Your average Ohio State fan is equivalent to your average Gator fan.  Most of them have never stepped foot on the campus, let alone been to a game in the 'Shoe.  And yes, they will argue just about their team just as blindly as Gator fans will.
