Yep, especially after our win at Auburn last year: "I don't give a rat's a.ss what the coaches poll says about USF" or something like that.

It's true - the Heisman is purely political and we don't stand a chance.

he's realistic and right on.  he's focused on this team winning....period.

Regardless of whether you like it or not, Matt has become a much greater leader on this team.  He's leading through his actions on the field by holding himself and his teammates accountable for mistakes, and he's leading off the field by speaking his mind on topics that are somewhat of a lightning rod for a program that's as young as ours is.

The bottom line is, he hasn't said anything that he doesn't personally believe is 100% true, and that's what you want from your leaders.

Fine by me. And he's right, it is politics. This is the most overrated award in sports. It's either going to a QB or RB and 9 times out of 10 that player is not the best PLAYER (meaning that includes EVERY position) in college football.
