The pledge is a good one, but I think that everyone that will read this pledge already lives by it. This pledge won't reach the people it needs to.

100% correct!

Look here is the deal: 99% of the fans at all stadiums behave within the realm of acceptable behavior. It's sort of insultnig for people to label an entire fanbase for the actions of a few.  Its regretable that this couple allegedly had a bad experience, but this happens EVERYWHERE!

While I think it's wrong for anyone to act that way, apparantly KU fans shouldn't be throwing stones:

Thank you for the link Apis.  Although I did not witness this behavior (Section 237), I do find what happened up in the 300's to be unacceptable.  There were several Kansas fans in our section and as far as I could tell, they were getting along just fine with the Bulls fans.  Those folks in Kansas (KU) should not throw stones.  Shame on them.  :thumbsdown  As far as the urine thing, that is disgusting.  I wonder if that's where UCF got the idea.  If sevenyearhawk (or whatever his name is) wants to go check out that school to the east, he ought to first ask the Texas fans how they enjoyed their experience at the frying pan.

There's one in every crowd.  So, USF has about 50 in our crowd.  That's not bad.

50 people escorted from the game of 48,000 fans in attendence.  Still only about 1 in 100

I still think this thread isn't from a real KU fan.  Probalby from one of the guys who has been posting this on the UCF Rivals site.  They seem to have taken an interest in this topic and want to accuse us of being bad fans, though their people started fist fights, tackled our people, threw beer/smoothies etc on people, cussed our guys out, etc....  Then again, ECU says that about UCF too...

I saw absolutely nothing in 113, or just walking around for that matter.  Even when we went into the club section during halftime, Bulls and Jayhawks mingled civilly.  I'm calling BS on this one.

Friday night game between two big programs.... i wouldn't have brought my kids. I know, it sucks. But college football is becoming less-and-less family friendly and becoming more of a war zone.

Yeah we don’t bring our daughter to the games anymore it really infringes on my poring $7.50 beers on the other teams fans   ::)

For real we stopped bringing her because my wife doesnt get to enjoy the game when she has a two year old running around.

I never saw anyone getting physically harrassed, but I did hear a few "Jayhawks suck" which was probably from some drunk people. Also, there is a lot of security around including TSA employees and I don't think people would get away with doing that. I made sure to wish the visiting Jayhawk fans a "good game and a safe ride home"

I didn't see any issues other than a few obviously drunk students that were escorted out early in the game. At the end of the night I did see some KU fans leaving the game and thought about going up to thank them for coming and wish them a good season but as I was by myself and the area was fairly empty I didn't feel comfortable doing that so I just waited out the traffic for a few minutes sitting in my car.

Before the game we offered a few fans some help with finding areas and i even happened to walk by KU's coach and did make sure to wish him luck and a good game.

As has already been pointed out the idea that they tried calling 911 and couldn't get a signal both scream bogus to me. Why would anyone need to call 911 in a stadium where there are cops EVERYWHERE? Plus I've never had issues getting signals or making calls while at RayJay outside of it being loud at the stadium. In fact, I know many people who work there that use their cell phones as their only lines of communications with co-workers.

I will say this I sit in 239 and never have seen a problem there. I walked out and saw many KU fans and didnt see anybody giving them trouble. If I had seen it I would have said something.

With that said I wouldnt be surprised if it happened in the upper decks since we are now sitting visiting fans there. I say this because in two of the last games last year, we have had beer thrown down from the upper decks and these are supposedly Bulls fans throwing stuff at other Bulls. I have actually thought about moving my seats higher up to not have to deal with this issue.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
