Well, I am guessing your friends were sitting in the cheap seats in the upper deck?  I've never seen that behavior in the donor area's.  I think part of the problem is that we have lots of new fans without affiliation to the university showing up at games.  This behavior is unfortunately common at bucs games and seems to be following the bandwagon to USF games.  I wish there was something more that could be done, as the actions are not tolerable or excusable, but it comes with the territory of being the new thing in town.

Some advice from a seasoned traveler:

When you travel to away games, always purchase your tickets from your school so you can sit as a group.  I've learned that over the years.  I've had similar experiences to what you mentioned at multiple schools just from sitting randomly in a rowdy area.  I sit right above the away area and I never see anything more than some back and forth with the mouth.

The pledge is a good one, but I think that everyone that will read this pledge already lives by it. This pledge won't reach the people it needs to.

If I had seen it I would have stepped in and broke up the clowns doing the stupid act I think a lot of us would have.

I will say that when my friend told me his story, I wanted to punch someone.

I'm glad you weren't there.  Taunting and obnoxious behavior would have only been made worse by punching someone.
