i don't see what Tim Teabag has done that puts him so high on the list over Grothe.

i know he's played in only 2 games compared to Grothe's three, but on a per game average his stats aren't even as good as Matt's...

Teabag:

196.5 ypg passing

1.5 passing TDs p/g

61.2% passing

46 ypg rushing

242.5 total ypg

Grothe:

260 ypg passing

2.3 passing TDs p/g

65.5% passing

34.3 ypg rushing

.3 rushing TDs p/g

294.3 total ypg

the only stats that Teabag leads Grothe in is rushing yards per game, and he doesn't even have a touchdown on the ground, and fewer picks [possibly due to fewer games].

Grothe has better pass completion % and is more productive in overall offense than Teabag.

Nope.  Voters wont give him two unless his stats are head and shoulders above the rest.  Their game plan has changed significantly and he wont have the rushing numbers or touchdowns this year.

Tbag wont win unless everyone else tanks.

Just more evidence that the nation is recognizing how much better Matt has become at QB this year.  A long shot of course with the Tebow circle-jerk in full effect, but still nice to be invited to the party.

I'd just love to see Grothe keep his TO numbers down. He got lucky twice against Kansas from not turning it over on fumbles.

On a side note, anyone notice Teel out of Rutgers has 1 TD and 5 INTs? WoW....

Tebow is last years Heimas winner. That is why he is above Grothe. If the GECKOS win a NC this year, he will repeat.  IMO Grothe is not a Heisman candidate YET. He is a really good college QB, but his is not on Tebow's level. This doesn't mean I am not a Grothe fan, but he is not an elite college footbal player. He makes too many mistakes, Kansas dropped a pick or two on Friday. I think when Grothe isn't trying to do too much with the ball he is brilliant.
