Will Spirit only charge to select a seat and print a ticket out ahead of time? I tried to do the select-a-seat feature, and every choice I made had a dollar figure attached to it. Needless to say, I didn't reserve anything ahead of time. I'm hoping that on physical check-in we don't have to pay anything.

In the past 6 months they've begun charging people to pick seats. If you're assigned a seat at the airport there is no charge.

Anyone know the answer to the quoted question above? When I tried to set up my tickets online, there was a fee associated with everything. Are these fees just for the convenience of the online set-up or will we actually be charged these fees when we physically check in for our respective flights?

I think I'm included in the ctbrown24 +3 so I won't mess up the count we have going. We're heading to the airport around 7:30, get there around 8 for security/drinks/etc... :) See U all there! GO BULLS!!

Totally driving down from Tampa.  I'm actually in Ft Lauderdale right now too...but im going up to T-Town today to visit some friends.

Is anyone checking bags? Its $30 round trip. But with the restrictions on liquids and what not is it even possible to have all ur luggage be carry on?

Doing all carry on. It's a short trip...how much stuff could you possibly need?

I agree. Its just the whole liquid crap. If I take a bottle of contact lens solution as a carry on I might get stripped searched. Guess I need all new tiny bottles of everything then.

Most stores now sell TSA approved small bottles of stuff.  They also sell a 'bottle kit' where ist's the correct amount and size of empty bottles that you can just fill up with your stuff.
