Wow.  Words fail me.  I'm guessing UCF didn't want a lawsuit that would keep this story in the news any longer?

Former baseball coach Jay Bergman settles with UCF, allowed to retire instead of being fired

September 14, 2008

Jay Bergman says he won the final battle of his baseball coaching career.

Bergman, UCF's all-time winningest baseball coach, was fired by the university in May after he was accused of sexually harassing a male equipment manager. The coach denied the charges and pledged to fight UCF.

Bergman's attorney Jill Schwartz said he reached an amicable settlement with UCF. She would not disclose the terms, but said a key part of the settlement was that Bergman was allowed to retire instead of being fired by the university.

He's still gone.  This just celebrates the long career as opposed to the bitter end.  UCF took the high road(also avoiding any further issues).
