until USF and Kansas bring in the revenue streams that the programs you mentioned dol then nothing will change.

money makes the world spin and also chooses who gets to sit at the big table.

Is Notre Dame at the big table? Is Michigan? They are the number one and four ranked team in terms of revenue according to Forbes last year. South Carolina is in the top 20  in revenue. So are Washington, Arkansas and Texas A&M and even that powerhouse Michigan State. But dominating the polls, sitting at the "Big Table"? No gentlemen, its wins, not money that get you to the top.

Notre Dame will be in the rankings if they win the next two games. Because everyone in the media likes to suck off Notre Dame. So yes, they still sit at the big table.

(Hardly anybody talked about what a great game it was last night.)

It was definitely the best game of the week, if not the season so far.  So much for the "Collision at the Colosseum" LOL

USF should move ahead of OSU.  They won't, but I think we all know USF could have beaten OSU tonight.

Doubt it. They may get votes but they won't get ranked until they beat someone ranked. They beat USC in November the get ranked. About the only way they can with their C- schedule.

There is no "Big Table". You get to Bowl games and Championships by wins. Now revenue and TV rights, another matter. But these teams you all are talking in awe of, as if there is some big conspiracy and secret organization that controls CF, they got respect by winning over a period of time. Those periods of time are when they won fans on a large scale. Also large groups of Alumni help. South Carolina has Steve Spurrier but they are 4-9 in bowl games. He has fans from his WINNING at UF. Arkansas is the only show in town and plays well. I would imagine that as many people hate Michigan that love it, explains all the money that Michigan State football pulls in. Washington won the Rose Bowl several times in the 80s and 90s.

There IS a big table if you are talking about media coverage, pre season rankings and, to some extent, rankings during the year.  Michigan last year is a perfect example.  They were rated in the preseason Top 10 simply because they were Michigan.  USF getting a preseason ranking this year is a fairly big deal.  Like getting to sit at the grownups table because the kids table was full.  You can sit with us this time but you better behave (win) or we won't let you next time.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
