I just watched the replay and Bonani was roughed or run into on the final kick.  The ref threw the flag so if he missed we would have had another shot.  Glad it didn't come to that though.  ;D

i saw the flag thrown and all of a sudden the ref ran in, picked it up and got the hell out of the way. i figured it was on the defense.

I think USF has finally found themselves a kicker, which is great because now Delbert can focus on what he is truly good at, his punting. Seeing Bonani's game winning kick reminds me a lot of Wes Byrum's winning field goal against Florida last year, except that Mangino had enough class to call the time out well ahead of time as opposed to while he was kicking. Glad to see that annoying trend of 2007 has yet to make it into 2008 so far. Jim Leavitt had a tough decision to make, putting possibly the biggest game of the season in the hands of a freshman kicker but that decision paid off in a big way.

A little off topic but this doesn't deserve it's own thread. 

How big was that 5 yard delay of game penalty before the final punt (and Kansas accepting it)?  The punt lands in the end zone and KU has the ball at the 20 instead of the 7.  Don't know how things would have played out with the different field position.

As for Bonani, it is only 1 game, but he just seems to get the ball up quicker (other than the 1st one).  Hope this continues.  He should have tons of confidence.

I saw the flag when I watched the end of the game this morning.  It was never explained on TV so I don't know.  Of course when we were at the stadium we were all jumping around and screaming and didn't even see a flag.  I'd like to know for sure what it was.

Bonani was knocked down after the kick.

Either roughing or running into the kicker.
