WVU loses to ECU. I guess it is up to USF to save the BE from total disaster. USF to the rescue. Did everyone else get that bad overnight.

We have to win, not to save the conference, but to save ourselves. With vageness of the new BCS qualification rules, if the conference sucks bad enough, and we just get by, we could lose our automatic bid ... this year. If we can win the Big East, win our BCS game and have 10+ wins we should finish in the top 15 which should keep the wolves at bay. Also, if the ACC champion would be nice enough to lose their 9th straight BCS bowl that would be helpful.

The Big East will not lose its bid this year.also, the rules were modified (relaxed) since the initial conference reallignments and the "Big East" clause was enacted - otherwise the "Big East" clause would already be forcing the ACC to lose its auto bid.
