Memphis was way, way, way overrated coming into this season. They had no business even getting poll votes, much less being ranked for the one week that they were. They're getting better, and recruiting well, but they're not in the UofL-USM class yet.

I'm not so sure Memphis was overrated, but I know that UAB who beat them is very underrated.

I'm not so sure Memphis was overrated, but I know that UAB who beat them is very underrated.

It's gonna be a tough game down in the ghetto at Legion Field

WHen you have such a good QB as Memphis has that has been a star since freshman year... its very easy to get overrated since they are the key to everything.  Great teams with not so good QB's get ranked way down and bad teams with Great QB's get boosted up a bit, in the preseason.

Memphis was boosted so much that Lee Corse actually predicted they would be one of the three undefeated teams this year (Southern Cal & Oklahoma).

This is very true as well. They could be the real dark horse in the confrence race. Lot of quality teams in CUSA this year.
