Lauderdale1450 WSTU--Stuart1590 WPSL--Port St. Lucie1460 WZEP-Defuniak Springs1430 WKLF--Lakeland “We have assembled one of the most entertaining, knowledgeable and experienced broadcast teams in college football,†said Executive Associate Director of Athletics Bill McGillis. “Our fans will be treated to more coverage than ever this season and they will get a mix of new voices and long-time favorites that will bring dynamic coverage to Bulls football.â€ÂFans will hear the familiar voices of play-by-play man Jim Louk and color commentator Mark Robinson, who have been in the USF radio booth since the football program’s first season in 1997. Also back for his 12th season of USF football is pre-and-post-game host Jim Lighthall. In addition to his football duties, Lighthall has been member of the USF basketball broadcast team for 11 years and will return as the play-by-play man in 2008-09.Lighthall will have a bigger load this fall, as the pre-game show is expanding from 90 minutes to two hours. The pre-game and post-game shows will be the centerpiece of the Bulls Zone interactive and tailgating area outside Raymond James Stadium. The post-game show will run for approximately 30 minutes again this season, but it also has some new features. Lighthall and company will host the post-game show from the Bulls Zone for the first time and they will also be taking live call-in questions this season.New to the 2008 broadcast team are local radio personality Justin Pawlowski and former Kansas coach Nick Quartaro.“It’s great to have our broadcast family together again for another season, and we look forward to adding Justin and Nick to our crew to make our coverage even more comprehensive in 2008,†said Louk, who is also an Assistant Director of Athletics at USF.Pawlowski will be the co-host on pre and postgame shows alongside Lighthall. He has been with 620 WDAE for five years. After playing collegiate football for The University of Connecticut, Justin returned to Tampa and started "The Blitz" on the student run radio station at USF. In addition to "The Blitz", Justin is the executive for "The Ron and Ian Show†on 620.Quartaro will be the resident X-and-O’s expert on the team. Quartaro has coached in the college ranks for most of his adult life and was most recently the associate head coach and offensive coordinator at Kansas, who the Bulls face at Raymond James Stadium on Sept. 12. Unfortunately, with a young family and working like a madman it is all I can do to make the games sometimes.
