The Jets send a draft pick to Green Bay for the future Hall of Fame quarterback, who severed ties with the Packers on Tuesday. Nooooooo! I refuse to believe it! Brett is coming to Tampa!! IT'S STILL REAL TO ME DAMMIT!!!!

That's when small-time reporters like Ira Kaufman end up out on the ledge, swearing to anyone who will listen that Favre will end up in Tampa. Then the deal doesn't happen and he looks like a total idiot.Personally I think the Packers tried to stick it to Favre in the end. It sounds like they took less from the Jets than what the Bucs offered, just so they wouldn't have to deal with him playing for another NFC team. And also the Jets are not as good as the Bucs, offseason improvements be damned. Most of the reports were saying that the Jets had the better deal but favre wanted to go to tampa more. Who could blame him? Play for a playoff contender in a great city or lose on a suck-@ass team in the garbage dump known as new jersey.

This season should be interesting for the Bucs.

I'm sorry, you lived in Jersey for how many years? and before you start talking **** about the Jets compared to the Bucs why dont' we get into the fact that our coach is not only good but also a stand up guy (something tampa knew about once upon a time) or about the fact that our fans are a hell of a lot more diehard than the average Bucs fan. your team screwed themselves over by getting into this when I'd say anyone with common sense could have told you the Packers were highly unlikely to trade within their conference...and how can you blame them? in the end it's business. and honestly...he just looks better in Green
