Today, we continue with the countdown to Michigan-Utah by taking a peek at the best national games of 2008. You can still check in on yesterday's preview item - the Diag Top 25.

There are plenty of big-time contests on the slate this season, but a bunch stand out...

21. Kansas at South Florida, Sept. 12: I'm willing to go out on a limb right now and call the South Florida upset in this Friday evening contest. The Bulls could be right back in the top 10 with a victory here, while Kansas - playing a rare tough nonconference game - could signal its staying power.

9. West Virginia at Pitt, Nov. 28: Can you imagine what West Virginia nation will have to say if an undefeated Mountaineers team goes into Pitt and wins under Bill Stewart? It would make for some entertaining message board banter, that's for sure.

I don't really think USF beating Kansas would be an upset.  I'd say the two teams are about even and it should be a great game!

He's "going out on a limb"... yeah more like out on an elevated concrete platform.  I bet the platforms strudier than the tree.

I don't think picking a team ranked 21 in the coaches poll to be the team rank 13 is "going out on a limb"

I've been getting this feeling that FAU is going to beat them, too.  I wouldn't be surprised if FAU beat Michigan State either.

Back to Kansas, though, when I read the national boards it seems like a lot of their fans are taking the USF game lightly.  If they are, I think they're going to be in for a rude awakening come Sep 12.
