Here's how: 1. We always seem to have good athletic cornerbacks. 2. This may be our best safety duo yet (replace 'dominant' "cornerback tandem" with "safety tandem"). 3. Third and most important, with Buie/Bedford on the other side of Selvie and an impressive spring from Genus on the interior, if they play up to potential (dangerous thought) the QB will not exactly have time to pick on the corners. I think the key to the defense is how well the ends opposite Selvie perform. If they play great that will limit double teaming and playing away from Selvie. OL - good experience & talent, questionable depth2. DL - ends should be about 8.5/10, DT's are a ?3. LB - will be as good w/ 2 returning and Chris Robinson back and Kion Wilson & we have the most underrated LB coach in the country IMO. 4. CB - two experienced new guys, 1 very good juco , some other very good options, & Nate Allen can move from safety to cb if we can't get what we need out of the cb's - might be growing pains but this position will be solid by mid season.
