No Kansas lower bowl single game tickets

Recommended Posts

Makes sense.  We are at 24k season tix.  Add in students and you are at 36.  Add 2k for visitor allotment, 38k.  Assume we sell 6k more season tix before the opening game, and you are at 42 - 44k.  The lower section is like 42k / 43k so it will be sold out for every game this season.  No need to sell single game tix for lower bowl.

the 12000 for student tickets isn't accurate... as that includes some students sitting in the upper deck.

probably about 9000-10000 students at most in the lower bowl.

4 upper deck sections... let's say average of 30 rows and 20 seats per row = 600 seats...

So there are about 9,600 student seats in the lower bowl... might be a bit higher: call it 10k.

10k students

1k faculty/staff

1/2 k visitors

Let's say 12,000 seats are "set aside", leaving ~29,400+ to be sold as season tickets.  With 24,000 sold, there are ~5,400+ remaining for sale in the lower bowl.

Now how many of the 24,000 are "non-revenue" seats (player families, seats saved for recruits, etc)? Or would they be in the 5,400+?

Moreover, I would expect most of those remaining will require a donation...

Also, the athletic dept. comp seats, seats for Corporate Comp (big donors, sponsors), and visiting band.  Lower bowl will be packed every game.

At the ticket drive meeting they said they are close on the lower bowl.  He said it holds 41K, and that includes the 24,000 season tickets plus another 10,000 for students.  So that only leaves 7 K, but you still have to account for visiting fans, recruits, and other USF held tickets.  Its really not that many.  One section that might be pretty open is 228.  Right now its a family section, but it used to be a Visitor's section, so its probably pretty open.

According to the Big East board each school usually reserves 4k tickets for visitors.

So you figure

24k season tix

10k students

4k visitors

Thats 38 k right there, not including band and complimentary tix.  So probably 2k at most still available.

Yes it will probably be a sell out but what does that have to do with no lower bowl SEASON tix?

What it means is that those without season tix wanting to go to kansas game and buying an INDIVIDUAL game tix will have to sit in upper deck.

The bulk of the visitor tickets will be in the upper deck... only one section of the lower bowl is reserved for visiting fans.
