West Virginia's stadium holds less than Ray Jay and they seem to be an accomplished program the last few years

they won't make more at the citrus bowl..they get no concession $$$ and no parking $$$ and have to pay the rent there.. by playing at home they get all concessions, and all parking, and all tix $$$.

It will be interesting to see how long between the USF sellout and the next one for UCF.  If they had moved this game to the CBowl, they would have established a new home attendance record that would stand a LONG time.

Why do you think this game would draw more than the 2006 game?

and let me preface this by saying, "Thank God you're/I'm not".....would you have made a move to get the USF game over to the Citrus Bowl?  I know, UCF gives up home advantage, etc. but from a pure economic standpoint it would have meant about 800K+ more in revenues to them for this one game.  They would have had to pay rent on the stadium for a day...what's that, $250,000?  Maybe a little more....given the C-USA and non-BCS stuff, you'd have to think that $500,000 more in their pockets (net) would have been meaningful to their budget.

Because of ECONOMIC REASONS, UCF stands to earn far more $$$$$ playing in the 45,000 seat BHNS vs moving the game to the CB.

For games at the CB...UCF would receive ZERO $$$ from suite sales...ZERO Club seat revenue (there was none), ZERO concession sales, and had to share most of the ad revenue with the city of Orlando.

By moving to BHNS...UCF was able to secure 100% increase in booster donations, secure 100% of all booster parking (paid through donation), 100% of all concession and stadium ad revenue, 100% suite sales revenue, 100% club sales revenue, etc...as heck...UCF was able to sell a sidewalk plaza outside the stadium for $2 Million alone!

While the CB might have more bleacher seating than BHNS...UCF's take home at the end of the day would  if UCF had to rent out the CB for one day would have been less...MUCH less.

I doubt UCF could even move to the Citrus Bowl if they wanted.  I would bet the sale of advertising, naming rights, and maybe even retail space in that area around the stadium is contingent on them playing home games in the stadium.  They are already charging a premium for USF tickets.
