Sparse - thinly scattered; occurring here and there (Merriam). Week seven is certainly sparse for USF and Big East fans. USF takes on a formidable foe (Bye) and only three games involving Big East teams are on during this weekend. SEC and B12 heavyweights do get it on and might be worth tuning into on Saturday. Friday, October 10th Louisville @ Memphis - Louisville visits the Liberty Bowl. Whoopee. More Memphis is doing everything it can to get into the Big East pablum will adorn the Memphis Commercial Appeal. Saturday, October 11th Notre Dame @ UNC - Come on Butch. Work your magic on the Irish. Syracuse @ West Virginia - This could be a good game or a blowout. Pundits will pick the latter. We shall see. Rutgers @ Cincy - Best Big East game this week. Cincy at home should be enough to topple the Jersey Knights. Wait, is that all there is? Yep. Sparse. Other games of possible interest and certainly Top 25 movement: Arkansas @ Auburn - Auburn looked stupid wooing Petrino a few years ago. Will they look stupid against his team? LSU @ Florida - If the Gayturds win this one...well, to borrow a line from Pirates of the Caribbean, "There'll be no living with them." : Tennessee @ Georgia - Between the hedges. 'Nuff said. Texas @ Oklahoma - A classic, in Dallas no longer. This is a good weekend to be out of town, or work in the yard, or wash the cars. Some decent TV, but no Bulls and not much happening in the Big East either. Save yourself for Week eight Bulls fans. Out. Normal
