the good news is that IF Grothe DID get hurt we have the Oline and RBs to just change the gameplan of our offense.

The gameplan would not change, by the way.  All QB's learn the same playbook...

I think the gameplan would change a lot if Grothe were to get injured. Gregory isn't going to run like Matt does. Defenses aren't going respect him in that way. Something would have to change, or it would be an epic failure on Greg Gregory's part. Sorry, but I don't think you can plug Gregory in, and run our offense exactly as it is run with Grothe.

I try to stay out of these, but there is a big difference in MG and any other QB we have, and possibly any we have ever had. Blackwell was good, but Grothe IS our offense right now. I agree that he carries too much of the load, and he takes way too much critiscm for when things go bad. Example, he had a horrible game against Cincy last year, but if you really think about it, you remember the game winning TD pass that he made to Mitchell that was dropped. If CM catches that ball, Grothe is still a hero who had a bad game, but since we lost, people were ready to bench him. It's ridiculous.
