I think Popek, Estenor, PK guy (hopefully!!!), and Baker (Special Teams). I can't wait to see Q. Taylor play, but I want CJL to keep him caged up and fed gun powder until we play the Canes. Then we can watch him take Streeter's head off  if he tries to catch anything over the middle! Assuming Q. Taylor plays at DB in which I think he'll be our next Nate Allen, except not so nice......lol

I think Jim said that B.J. Danials will see some action this year. Yes as a QB.

yes, popek.  bank on it.

not so quick.  all incoming freshman OTHER THAN popek have been conditioning/lifting/practicing for about 2 weeks now.  apparantly he has a potential heart condition that may prevent him from passing a physical (he already failed his first one).  i think his dad has the same condition.  hope this isnt the case, but doesnt look real good so far.

There is a good chance these FR will play often - keeping the roster deep is a primary concern of coaching this year I'm sure.

This would seriously suprise me.

If Daniels sees any action this season.... it better be because we're up by 50.  Injuries are the only other reason I could think of.... or him beating out Gregory as the back-up, or hell maybe even Grothe as the starter.....

Camp hasn't even started and Daniels would need to beat out Gregory - HIGHLY Unlikely - to get playing time.

Excited about his potential.

Severino saw action last year - other than holding - even threw a TD pass.  So Daniels doesn't have to beat out Gregory.

Moreover, I would make Daniels the holder, too... make a fake FG or fake PAT interesting.

I don't think it's really relevant using Severino, an original walkon in his senior year, to Daniels who is an incoming freshman with great potential. Severino deserved to see some action, for all the tireless and unselfish work he had put in over four years.

Losing a year of Daniel's eligibility in return for limited playing action this year, especially when we already have an experienced Gregory and Voss a year ahead of him who hasn't even played yet, but now will, would not be a move typical of Leavitt. Thus, I see Daniels Redshirting, just like Voss and Grothe did before him.

From Brett's blog:

Q: Which newcomers will be making a big impact? JL:â€ÂTrue freshmen Mark Popek and Damien Edwards. We’re going to count on some freshmen, I guarantee you. Those guys, we’re planning on getting them ready at both tackle spots.â€Â
