What the h*ll is maddon thinking? why is gomes in the lineup again? better question, why is he on the team still? the guy is terrible

relax...he is battling through a slump right now.  with his plate approach its very tough for him to only get an at bat every other game or so.  plus he is our best option against LH pitching of the alternatives.

i dont see the need to call him out every time he is in the lineup.  he plays hard, has a positive attitude and is a great teammate.

he can hit lefties....its just tough for him to pinch hit...some guys can do it others cant.

Johnny Gomes is best suited on the bench as a cheerleader.  I love how hard he plays but more times than not he is a liability on the field and at the plate
