Can someone explain to me why Gomes keeps getting put in the starting lineup?

Gomes can't hit, he has average speed, and he's a mediocre fielder.  He's supposed to hit lefties well but he can't even do that.

I have no idea.  If they're not gonna trade for a RF, I say throw Gross in there and let him have a chance to win the job.

i have a feeling he wont be on this team that much longer.  the problem is....he is out of options.  they would have to put him on waivers before they can send him down to AAA.  plus, he was in the lineup tonight because he always hit Pettite well.

He is the worst outfielder we have on the team. If he was hitting then I would say keep him up but now either send him to AAA or trade/cut him
