I hope there is a large parking garage attached, and a moat filled with alligators surrounded by a 12 foot electric fence. That might make it safe to attend games. I live just a few blocks from where it used to be. I must say, the view has opened up considerably ;-) The "rumor" about a Marlins complex is true. They will be building a new field for the Marlins over the spot the OB used to be, effectively preventing UM from having their own stadium anywhere near the school for decades due to space constraints (and of course, the $200 million it would take to build one). They can't paint the end zones for half of the season anyway, because the Marlins' infield dirt stretches into one of the end zones. The Dolphins don't paint anything on their field until baseball season ends and they take out the dirt and replace it with grass.

What excuse do the Bucs have?

As much of a dump as it was, there was major history in that place.

You guys thought Auburn was cool, The OB is 10 x's more intense for a big game. I shed a few tears when they tore the place down. Even bought a piece of the old OB for my personal collection. Im still waiting for it to come. http://www.fansedge.com/Players/ProductDetail.aspx?pfId=45-13728&storeId=
