MBB got a $7M donation and will be building there own training faciity where the outdoor courts are now and may have a tunnel or walkway to the sundome from there.  Currently they practice and play in the same facility.  CSH wanted the change.

Seriously? Can anyone elaborate on this?

I thought they were going to build on the backside of the Sundome, literally...

They are -- but not attached to the Sun Dome other than through a breezeway/hallway... remember, USF is (or was) studying whether remodeling the Sun Dome was a better financial decision than razing it and building a new facility.  (If the Sun Dome is remodeled, then a tunnel is possible - given the locker rooms and court in the Dome are below ground.

Details were not too clear from the person I spoke with (A coach of another sport at USF) but suffice to say that is the current thinking and they had people out surveying recently, he said, to determine the feasibility.

Just FYI my father inlaw's construction company is being paid a pretty penny to remodel the locker rooms in the sundome. Once they are finished I'll see if he can give me some pictures to post here. But from what he has told me they are doing everything first class.
