I would say no, even with an extension... talent in your farm system is invaluable when you know how to use it.  And trading it for a 300lb pitcher is not wise, even if he was cy young material last year.

but my answer would still be no.  our pitching staff has been lights out and we still have a great pitching prospect in the minors in david price who could be just as good as sabathia.

Price is nasty and will contribute this year.  Neimana...  whatever his name is used to be bad ass, but I haven't seen him much post surgery, but if he is anywhere near what he used to be then going out to get CC would have been a waste in my mind. 

Now getting a big bat for the middle of the lineup or another reliever wouldn't hurt (although I think Price could be a nice option out of the bullpen or back end starter)
