It's Getting Ready time. For those of you new to the Bullspen, where the heck have you been? This is the weekly preseason primer for hardcore fans of Bulls football. We're lookin' at Week Six matchups for the coming season. Week Six is where ESPN and ESPN2 start to crank out Tuesday and Wednesday night games. Thank your lucky stars that BCS leagues do not play before Thursday nights. So watch the Sun Belt and WAC games if you must, but by all means save yourself for Thursday night during Week Six. Why, you ask? Here's why: Thursday, October 2nd Pitt @ USF - Huge conference opener for the Bulls. Coming off a road game at NC State with a short week of preparation will make this tougher than it should be. Hopefully we can force Pitt to throw the ball so we can unleash Selvie, Buie and Bedford. Friday, October 3rd Cincy @ Marshall - Cincy continues its conquest of the MAC....er, wait, We Are U. is in CDOA now, right? I can't remember... Whatever. Saturday, October 4th UConn @ UNC - The Puppies get a crack at the Heels in Chapel Hill. Rutgers @ West Virginia - Good early conference season match up. The Coachburners should prevail in their home crib since it's not the last game of the season. Stanford @ Notre Dame - Come on Cardinal; take down the Irish. Other games of moderate interest on Saturday: Florida @ Arkansas - For you, Bullhog ;D Oregon @ USC - For you smazza Florida State @ Miami - ACC has beens; look for a 3-0 final score. > La-La @ La-Mo - Why are these guys Div. I? Answer: SEC Homecoming games (except when playing Saban's scholarly sissies :) Navy @ Air Force - For the Commander-in-Chief trophy (sorry Army, but you're not there yet) Halfway home and still just beginning to get cranked up in the Big East. Can we just have one week where there are 4 BE conference games please? Maybe Week number Lucky Seven. See ya next Saturday. Out. Normal

Guest
Normal - Good break down as usual...(USF has a bye in Week 7... so there won't be 4 Big East games for the 8 teams that week either...)
