Former 4th round pick of the Dolphins who played in the final 10 games of the 1996 season and ranked fourth on the team with eight special teams tackles. After being cut in the 1997 camp, famously threatened to return to One Buc Place with a gun and take it out on the coaches who had cut him. The police were called and Jones was escorted on to a plane bound for Texas without any further trouble.

Never heard of this Thought it was kinda odd.

"LaCurtis Jones came to Miami in the 1996 draft with a reputation for violence, which seem OK if he channeled it strictly to the field. But when he got cut, he showed up at training camp with a gun. True story.

Why would a player cut from the Dolphins head to One Buc Place with a gun?
