How many season tickets did we sell last year?

USF hasn't shared any information on football season ticket sales yet, so I was surprised to hear Woolard reveal that almost 5,000 new season tickets have been sold, and the renewal rate from last year's season tickets is around 90 percent.

Also, some interesting info (thanks Greg!)

Woolard also pointed to the remarkable growth of the "Iron Bulls" donors, who give at least $10,000 annually to USF athletics. Woolard said just two and a half years ago, there were three such donors for USF, but that number has now jumped to 94.

That's $940,000 folks...

Thank you donors of all levels!

i don't remember how many we sold last year i thought it was around 24k, but at 90% +5000 that is already growth unless we had 50000 ( we didn't )

E.T.'s guess sounds about right by my figuring and I think 30k would be a big milestone.

I think before the season we hit 18500 per Brett's blog.

My guess is this number is off that.

We should be at right abotu 30,000.

BUT I believe thats season ticket holders, not the amount of seats purchased.

We do NOT have 30K season ticket holders.  We have between 4-6K season ticket holders who hold X amount of tickets.

This figure can be interpreted a number of ways, and a lot of it is due to how athletics interprets "Season Tickets".  I had heard last year that he three-game mini plans were being sold as season tickets, and that the holders of those packages (of which we sold a LOT) would have the option to renew as if they were season tix.

I believe we were around 20K at the start of last season, but if you add in the 3-game package sales, I wouldn't be surprised if we were ~26000 "season tickets" at the end of last year.  Just my guess.

So... 26000 tickets - 10% dropout = 23400 + 5000 new tix = 28400.

I would guess that we are between 23,000 and 24,000 right now. Last season we went over 20,000 by the WVU game (if my memory serves me). Attrition would take us down to 18,000 +/- and the 5,000 new tickets would place us between 23,000 and 24,000. By August, I would expect us to be right at 25,000.

Guys, I don't think it's anywhere near 30,000 yet. USF was clearing the 20,000 mark last season at the West Virginia game, when the priority shifted to selling mini-packs; I believe folks who bought those had the option of renewing for a full year in the same seat. And Woolard wasn't saying that 90 percent of last year's season tickets renewed, he's saying the people who have responded are renewing at a 90 percent rate. That might be 9,000 out of the first 10,000 to respond; it might be 2,700 out of 3,000 for all I know. Very encouraging, and it's only just now July, but I don't think they're at 30,000 right now.

Soon as I get a hard number from them, I'll pass it along.
