Personally, I'm hoping they're over by 9:45.

With the commercial interuptions they'll easily be 4 hours long

Pretty sure he meant that figuratively.

I think it will help the home crowd for the PITT game. Being that most work until at least 5, it will give those who don't leave work early the opportunity to make the game on time and maybe even tailgate a little bit. I was planning on taking Friday the 3rd off anyway.

You forgot the part where most that get off at five start around 8 in the morning.  The game ends after midnight then add the traffic into driving home and you don't get home until 1 if you live close, or 2:30 if you live where I do.  That makes for a hellish friday!

Fortunately that's what vacationdays are for, but the late start may not be the best for fringe fans.  Although they might not realize the game will be 4 hours and the post game traffic will be bad.

Call the friday off, or say you gotta doctors appointment, come in at like 10 or 11 am. I prefer later games, and love the idea of playing thursday and friday night contests. Only problem is we don't get much time off between games.

Yeah, a lot of international engineering companies don't like it if you just call in(especially following a game they know you have season tickets for).  Vacation days are safer
