We sure have turned out talent from this position recently and each season we replace leaders with great talent.

I expect these guys to make a serious impact in 2008.

Need more depth.  An injury could be disastrous.  Alonzo McQueen and Houston Hess could be called into duty.  I doubt Armando Sanchez/Mike Lanaris/Quavon Taylor will be coming in and earning playing time at anywhere other than special teams.

Agree they need to stay healthy - especially McKenzie who can play inside and out.  I wish Kion was healthy in the Spring so we would have had a better feel for how good he is.  Phil Steele is pretty high on him.  If healthy, I don't see any drop off from last year.

You forgot about Alonzo McQueen (RsSO).  He's a young up-and-comer with good size.

isn't Quavon going to be playing safety?

he's listed at DB on GoUSFBulls.

I saw Taylor listed at LB and wouldn't expect him to be a factor this season, exccept maybe on Special Teams. Excited about this kid - he can hit !

you're right.

i'm just wondering how a 190 lb. kid is going to work out at LB.  seems kinda small.

You think Taylor chose #56 on accident?  I can think of another Taylor at LB that he might want to emulate.  He only needs to get up to around 210 to play outside.

Based upon what Quavon is reported as saying I expect he will get time on special teams (As did Nate Allen, Richard Kelly and others).  He will need to get to the 210-220 area to be effective as a LB which is where he would like to play.  If he can't get there (and it may take a couple years) then maybe he ends up at safety.  Wherever he ends up the kid could make plays.
