"Thank You for allowing us the 1st Victory in your New Stadium."

Or something like that. Lets do it. Let the brainstorming begin.

Hmmm... about one right next to the place. An Under Construction sign that reads, "FUTURE SITE OF USF VICTORY"

Trivia

    * The stadium is also often referred to as "The Cage" by the FIU student body and administration.

    * USF will hand the Golden Panthers their first loss in their brand new "Cage".

    * The largest crowd to ever witness a game at the stadium was 21,010 on November 27, 2004 against Florida A&M University, which FIU won 40-23.

    * Up until the end of the 2006 football season, FIU was the only university in the State of Florida south of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida to play their home football games on campus. In 2008, once the Golden Panthers move back to FIU Stadium, FIU will be the only university south of Orlando, Florida to play their home football games on-campus.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
