To clarify, there is a 2 dollar per ticket increase when the games start time is less than 5 hours from when you buy them.  It's still cheaper to pay the extra 2 bucks at the box office then it is to pay ticketmasters assortment of fees.  So instead of 9, it's 11 for an upper level seat.  Not a big deal.

nope it is a rip off

11 dollars for a baseball game is a good price.  It can't get much cheaper than that.

Can't argue with that, but it is a rip off to advertise a ticket price then bump it by $2 on the day of the game (the only time people are realistically going to be at the stadium box office).

Parking is only free if you have 4 or more people in your car.  However, you can park in the lots under the interstate for free, from what I've heard.  I usually have 4 or more when I go so I don't know for sure.

Don't know about the bringing in food deal...

Yeah, parking is free with 4 or more and here's the rule on food:

4. Food/Drinks/Containers: Patrons are allowed to bring food into Tropicana Field.  All food items must be wrapped, bagged, or contained within a soft-sided container that shall not exceed 16"x16"x 8".  Patrons are allowed to bring in single-serving juice boxes and sealed plastic water bottles (no larger than 1 Liter).

Not allowed are cans, thermoses, ice chests, bottles, glass containers or any other non-collapsible container or object deemed hazardous.

the best way to get tickets is to get to the game early and just buy the $9 upper deck tickets, then go sit wherever the hell u want.  for all 10 games ive been to this year ive done this then just went and sat about 15 rows above the rays dugout which are like $50 seats.  the ticket nazi's at the trop arent nearly as full forced as raymond james.  sadly enough, there normally wont be enough fans where u have to worry about sitting in someone elses seat.
