I don't see why they wouldn't.  The Big Ten Network has had far greater than anticipated success.

An SEC Network would easily crush the Big Ten Network in ratings (as the have far more teams).

It's only a matter of time before each BCS conference has their own.

Good point! With the SEC and Big Ten Locked up, it would give the Big East more Airtime.  We could give back thursday night games to the non-BCS teams

The SEC and Big 10 networks would and do not really draw away from ESPN like some have said.

The Big 10 Network has built itslef on games that used to be on ESPN PPV (+).

Those conferences aren't giving up their slots on ESPN (or ABC) for their own networks

I don't know if "wants" is the correct word to use, but it is being discussed formally where as it has been discussed informally for some time. 

IF the SEC does start it's own network, it will be much more successful than the Big Ten Network was/will be.  There won't be the same distribution problems that the Big 10 had partly because everyone saw how bad that was and the demand for the SEC network will force a solution for any potential problems, one way or the other.

i dont know about that.  the big 10 is by far a much more nationwide fan base where the SEC is VERY regional.
